Round Room Acquires Wireless Zone Stores

Carmel-based Round Room LLC has acquired Connecticut-based Wireless Zone. While financial details were not released, Round Room says no jobs will be affected and the acquisition brings its number of Verizon Wireless retail stores to more than 1,100 throughout the country.
The acquisition included 357 Wireless Zone stores which adds to Round Room’s nearly 800 TCC stores. The company says the Wireless Zone stores will continue operating under that brand.
"By bringing two of the wireless industry’s most respected and tenured brands under a single owner, Round Room is able to enhance the wireless experience for customers nationwide," said Scott Moorehead, chief executive officer of Round Room. "This acquisition affords us the opportunity to bring the knowledge and experience we’ve gained with TCC over the past 25 years to another successful wireless agent."
Wireless Zone has stores several Indiana cities, including Bedford, Columbia City, Evansville and Fort Wayne.
Round Room says its store footprint has grown 33 percent over the past year. TCC, Round Room’s flagship company, surpassed $1 billion in revenue last year. In September, TCC announced it had acquired nearly 90 We R Wireless shops on the east coast.
