Professor of Chemistry Ross Weatherman, PhD, has taken over leadership of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s department of chemistry and biochemistry. He has served as professor in the department since 2009, teaching classes in general chemistry, biochemistry and organic chemistry.

Weatherman earned Rose-Hulman’s board of trustees Outstanding Scholar Award in 2016 for his research, with several undergraduate students and faculty colleagues, which focuses on the role of estrogen in the development and treatment of breast cancer.

He graduated with high academic honors in chemistry from Wabash College and earned his doctoral degree in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin.
