Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has promoted Brian Dougherty to senior director of Rose-Hulman Ventures. Dougherty most recently served as director of engineering at the product design, rapid prototyping and development firm.
Dougherty succeeds Elizabeth Hagerman, who left to become chief innovation and strategy officer at Conexus Indiana. He joined Rose-Hulman Ventures in 2000 as a project manager and since that time, has had his name listed on numerous patents, including many for minimally-invasive brain surgery devices, according to the firm.
Dougherty earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman in 1993 and his master’s degree in engineering management in 1999.
