Roofing products distributor opens Lafayette branch

Virginia-based Beacon, a wholesale distributor of roofing, waterproofing and other exterior products, has opened a new greenfield branch in Lafayette.
While details of the company’s financial investment were not disclosed, the new branch is one of four being opened across the country.
In the Midwest market, Beacon also opened a branch in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The company said the branches will better serve both residential and non-residential roofing customers.
“Both locations are well positioned to provide a full range of exterior products to new and current customers seeking to grow their businesses in adjacent towns,” Larry Augello, regional vice president for Beacon, said in a news release. “Contractors will benefit from our team’s knowledge and service commitment, as well as access to helpful tools such as online ordering.”
The Lafayette branch at 2330 Sagamore Parkway South adds to Beacon’s other locations in Evansville, Gary, Indianapolis, Mishawaka, Noblesville. It was also not immediately clear how many jobs were added with the new branch.
Augello did not respond to a request from Inside INdiana Business for more information on why Lafayette was chosen as the location.
The other two new branch locations are in St. Augustine, Florida and Frisco, Texas.
