Rolls-Royce to Celebrate $600M Upgrade

Subscribe NowIndianapolis-based Rolls-Royce North America will Wednesday celebrate the completion of its most significant project in its long history in Indy. Governor Eric Holcomb will join Rolls-Royce Chief Executive Officer Tom Bell to mark the occasion and showcase six-year, $600 million investment which includes updated infrastructure and advanced manufacturing technology at its Indianapolis facilities.
The company announced the project in 2015, saying it was the company’s largest investment in the U.S. since buying the former Allison Engine Co. in 1995. The project included replacing some infrastructure and equipment that dates to World War II.
The Indianapolis operations designs and builds a variety of engines and propulsion systems for the U.S. military.
Congressman Andre Carson (D-7), Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-5), and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett will also be on hand for the event.
