Rolls-Royce Corp. in Indianapolis has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Department of Defense. The more than $34 million agreement is a modification to a previously-awarded contract for the production of gas turbine engines.

The work is expected to be completed in Indianapolis by June 2022. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
