Rolls-Royce, AM General Score Military Contract Boosts
The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded military contract extensions to Rolls-Royce Corp. in Indianapolis and South Bend-based AM General LLC. The contracts total more than $72 million.
Rolls-Royce will receive more than $28 million for the production of 15 engines for the V-22 Osprey aircraft for the U.S. Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force. Work will be performed in Indianapolis and is expected to be complete in May of next year. The Naval Air Systems Command in Maryland is the contracting activity.
AM General will receive more than $44 million to produce 300 Humvee extended capacity vehicles. The DOD says work locations and funding will be determined with each order, with the production expected to be complete by February 2023. The U.S. Army Contracting Command in Michigan is the contracting activity.
