"IndianaFIRST is building the next generation of problem solvers through mentorship, hands on learning, and intense competition," said Renee Becker-Blau, executive director of IndianaFIRST. "The students involved in the FIRST Robotics Competition program in Indiana have a 75% chance of going on to a STEM career. Students in this program are learning the skills that employers in Indiana want their employees to have."
Each year, the FIRST Robotics Competition features a specific game in which the teams must perform a specific set of tasks. The 2018 game is set to be announced January 6 during the FRC Kickoff event.
The tournament is part of a larger organization known as FIRST, or For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. You can learn more about the program by clicking here.
