The American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy has selected Robert Beckett of Manchester University as a 2017 Emerging Teaching Scholar Award winner. This national award presented by the AACP Council of Faculties recognizes each recipient as a “gifted teacher, scholar and academic leader.” Beckett, who works as an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at the MU Fort Wayne campus, is one of just four pharmacy educators nationwide to be selected for this honor.

He specializes in drug information and is director of the Manchester University Drug Information Center. Previously, he was the 2013 and 2017 pharmacy teacher of the year at Manchester. Beckett earned his doctorate of pharmacy from Purdue University.
