Rob Lowe to Speak at DePauw

DePauw University will host actor Rob Lowe next month as part of the Timothy and Sharon Ubben Lecture Series. Lowe, whose parents and grandfather are DePauw graduates, will also receive the University Arts Medal when he visits the Greencastle campus.
Lowe will give the lecture May 1 at Kresge Auditorium in the Green Center for the Performing Arts. He joins a long list of notable names to take part in the Ubben Lecture Series, including former President Bill Clinton, Jimmy Kimmel, Spike Lee and, most recently, former British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Lowe’s grandfather, Robert E. Lowe, graduated from DePauw in 1931. His parents, Charles Lowe and Barbara Hepler, are both 1961 DePauw graduates.
The event, which is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., is free and open to the public. DePauw says students with a DePauw ID will be admitted beginning at 6:15 p.m. with the venue opening to everyone else at 6:30 p.m.
