Roadtrip Nation says the film, "Rerouting," focuses on a group of three that traveled in the organization’s green RV in partnership with Indianapolis-based Lumina Foundation to talk about the future of work. One of the group’s members will be part of the event, set to take place at IUPUI’s Tower Ballroom.
In an interview with Inside INdiana Business, Roadtrip Nation Events Manager Ben Sienko talked about the "future of work" theme.
"We named the film ‘Rerouting’ because the three road trippers are all in their own stage of rerouting as far as career goes, but also personally," said Sienko. "So these three took off across the country in the green RV to talk to people who were in similar stages or on the other side of that stage of uncertainty, whether that be a high school student contemplating college, a college student contemplating what major (to) choose, or someone who has never been to college and is wondering is it worth it."
Sienko says the road trippers were older than those that typically take part in the road trip, which shows the process is continual and happens throughout one’s life.
"Rerouting" is set to premiere on public television this fall. You can view a trailer of the film by clicking the link below.
Roadtrip Nation is not a stranger to Indiana. In 2017, the organization featured a two-week trip across Indiana that included three Hoosier college students. The effort culminated in the film "State of Change," which premiered last year.
