The Indiana Department of Transportation has awarded contracts for multiple road projects in east central Indiana. The work, which totals more than $17.5 million, was awarded to Milestone Contractors LP.

The company has offices in six Indiana cities. The projects involve paving, road straightening and bridge work in Wayne and Jay counties.

The larger project is for $9.4 million to repair and resurface sections of U.S. 40 and I-70 near Richmond. Milestone will also continue a separate resurfacing project it started last year. All three projects are set to be complete in the summer.

An $8.2 million rebuild and realignment of State Road 26 between SR 1 and SR 67 in Jay County is set to begin this spring. The work includes bridge work over Brooks Creek.
