The River Ridge Development Authority Board of Directors has given the greenlight on several infrastructure-focused contracts, totaling nearly $10 million. The largest contract involves building a three-lane roadway in the River Ridge Commerce Center from 2nd Street to 12th Street.
The roadway contract totals $9.7 million.
The authority also approved more than $35,000 to build new sheltered bus stop locations and sidewalks to provide more effective employee and pedestrian accessibility.
“We are working hard to build a world class industrial park here in Southern Indiana,” said Jerry Acy, RRDA Executive Director. “To make it happen, we need top-notch infrastructure that meets the demands of today and positions the region for growth.”
The RRDA says it has invested approximately $135 million into the surrounding infrastructure, including roadways, wastewater treatment and water capacity, electricity and cable and telecom services.
