Riley Children’s Health has promoted: Paul Haut to chief operating officer and Elaine Cox to chief medical officer. Haut previously served as chief medical officer and interim president from April 2015 to April 2016. He joined Riley in 2002 as director of the pediatric stem cell transplant program. As COO, Haut is responsible for the strategic vision and priorities for the state-wide children’s health network as well as Riley Hospital for Children.

Cox has served several leadership roles, including patient safety officer and most recently medical director of infection prevention. She played a key role in the development of the Ryan White Center for Pediatric Infectious Disease and Global Health, based at Indiana University School of Medicine, and ran the center for 16 years. As CMO, Cox will oversee key clinical hospital operations and help to create an excellent practice environment and ensure optimal outcomes for patients.
