A Wayne County manufacturer says it intends to invest $1.6 million and hire six new employees as part of an expansion plan. ITD Engineering LLC in Richmond is a custom machining company that manufactures components for a variety of industries.

ITD says it will purchase and install new machinery and equipment to accommodate growth. The EDC of Wayne County says it will provide a $20,000 Economic Development Income Tax grant to help offset the cost of new equipment.

The EDIT funds must still be approved by the Wayne County Commissioners.
