The Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation has hired Sarah Hawkins as senior program officer and Jeremy Smith as director of communications. Hawkins previously served in various program and strategy roles at The Mind Trust, Leadership Indianapolis and ExactTarget. She is a member of Class XXXVI of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series. Hawkins received her B.A. from DePauw University.

Smith most recently served as a national director for Incite, the Social Impact Marketing arm of Emmis Communications. He previously worked with Indiana University Sports Properties and the Riley Children’s Foundation. Smith received his B.S. from Indiana University and a certificate in the principles and techniques of fundraising from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.
