Ribbon to be Cut on Hyatt Place Evansville

The Hyatt Place Hotel in downtown Evansville will today open to the public. The $18 million hotel, which has been in the making for more than four years, will feature 139 rooms in the city’s downtown and is located near attractions such as the Ford Center and Old National Events Plaza.
A ribbon cutting ceremony with Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke and the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Plans for the hotel were first announced in 2016 and construction began in March 2018.
The hotel is also located near additional sites, including Tropicana Evansville, the University of Evansville, and the Children’s Museum of Evansville.
