After nearly a year of renovations, the Montgomery County Community Foundation will cut the ribbon Thursday on its new child care center in Crawfordsville. The $5 million Montgomery County Early Learning Center adds 124 child care seats in the community.
Officials broke ground on the project last April at a former county government office building at 110 W. South Boulevard.
The foundation said the facility would meet accreditation standards for the National Association for the Education of Young Children and be adapted to exceed state licensing requirements.
The Early Learning Center will be operated by Oregon-based KinderCare, which operates more than 30 early education and daycare centers in Indiana. The company expects to add more than 30 jobs at the new facility.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday.
