Retailer Continues Indiana Growth

Michigan-based Meijer Inc. is looking to fill 270 positions at a new store in West Lafayette. The retailer announced similar hiring plans last month at soon-to-be-open locations in Whitestown and Plainfield. March 4, 2014

LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Meijer is continuing to conduct interviews to complete hiring for more than 270 positions in all departments for its new Lafayette, Ind. store scheduled to open this summer. Open positions include clerks and cake decorators to customer service, cashiers, receiving and meat cutters. Starting pay will be based on experience level and specific skills.

Potential candidates should begin the hiring process by applying online at http://jobs.meijer.com/newstore. Enter Lafayette in the location search field at top of page and click “Go.” Hourly candidates will find positions by clicking the NEW STORE MEIJER Opening Soon in Lafayette posting. The positions will be outlined within the posting.

Meijer leadership will conduct phone interviews during the next few weeks. Selected candidates will then be contacted to schedule an in-person interview.
