A competition to spur the development of downtown Evansville's next marquee restaurant is down to three concepts. The Main Course Restaurant Challenge winner will be named after a final event Friday. The competition is being led by the Southwest Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

Winner will receive a more than $250,000 package to launch an establishment in a vacant former jewelry store.

The finalists are:

-“Cantina del Oscar,” a Mexican-Caribbean-themed restaurant and bar.

-“Kenny's Korner,” an all-night diner.

-“The Speakeasy Restaurant & Bourbon Bar,” a bourbon bar with American-style fare.
