Residents of Daleville are getting their first look at a downtown revitalization plan. Our partners at The Herald Bulletin report the architect of the plan says if the proposed Mounds Lake reservoir is approved, it would be a “game changer” for the community. You can view Daleville Revitalization Plan by clicking here.

Lead designer Cecil Penland presented the plan of what the Delaware County community could look like in 15 to 20 years. The plan includes upgraded buildings, an updated downtown plaza with stores and apartment-style housing. He also suggested a new park and trails to link everything together.

Penland is finishing the revitalization plan. Once it is complete, the town council will vote on the next steps.

About 50 citizens attended Thursday's council meeting.
