The News and Tribune in Jeffersonville reports St. Catherine Regional Hospital in Charlestown has closed its emergency room and transferred patients to other hospitals. This comes, after a bid to purchase the bankrupt hospital fell through.
The publication says that agreement was with Georgia’s Procure Health.
Officials are not commenting on the employment status of the staff.
