The future of a hospital in southeast Indiana has detailed major cuts. The News and Tribune in Jeffersonville reports St. Catherine Regional Hospital in Charlestown has closed its emergency room and transferred patients to other hospitals. This comes, after a bid to purchase the bankrupt hospital fell through.

The publication says that agreement was with Georgia’s Procure Health.

Officials are not commenting on the employment status of the staff.
