Redevelopment Commission Names Director

Subscribe NowThe Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission has announced that Nancy Townsend will replace Justin Brugger, who is now City Utilities’ chief financial officer, as the commission’s director. Townsend will assume the position on February 1.
Townsend first began working for City Utilities in 1990. She currently works for the company as the manager of development services.
"Having been employed by the City of Fort Wayne for more than 25 years, Nancy has extensive experience working with the development community, neighborhood residents and government agencies," Community Development Division Director Greg Leatherman said. "The Redevelopment Commission and I are excited to have her as part of our team working to revitalize properties and promote sustainable economic growth in our community."
The Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission assists in projects that will aid in the growth and development of different areas of the city, especially downtown. It does so through methods such as buying real estate and building roads.
