Real Food Blends Partners on National Distribution

Chesterton-based Real Food Blends has announced a distribution agreement that expands its national footprint. The feeding tube meal provider’s pouches are now available through Coram CVS Specialty Infusion Services, which is considered the largest home infusion and nutrition company in the U.S.
Real Food Blends was established in 2013 by wife and husband team Julie and Tony Bombacino when they found a lack of real food nutritional options for their son who used a feeding tube. Their client list has grown to include the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, McKesson, Medline, Independence Medical and US Foods.
Julie says "adding Coram to our list of DME and Home Infusion providers will help many more people with feeding tubes easily access the benefits of 100 percent real food and nutritional variety. I believe this also solidifies the legitimacy of blenderized diets for many enteral patients and dietitians alike. While insurance coverage will still vary by each person’s plan and state of residence, availability through Coram CVS Specialty Infusion Services may significantly increase the number of people able to receive coverage for our meals."
Coram CVS Specialty Infusion Services National Tube Feeding Manager Cynthia Reddick says "as more and more people depend on feeding tubes for what is often life-saving nutrition during all phases of their lives, we are pleased to add Real Food Blends to our home enteral formula portfolio and are looking forward to working with them to expand the blenderized formula options for the tube feeding community nationwide."
Real Food Blends says it has sold more than 1 million meals. You can connect to more about the company by clicking here.
