Real Estate Firm Announces Change

An Indianapolis-based commercial real estate firm is rebranding. Resource Commercial Real Estate says it has ended its affiliation with Colliers International and will operate as a locally-owned entity.
Resource was founded in 2005 and had been affiliated with Colliers since 2010. Its clients include the Indianapolis Airport Authority, Walker Information and Hill-Rom Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HRC). The company says it has more than doubled its work force and tripled its revenue in the last five years.
Principal Sam Smith says Resource Commercial Real Estate is "excited to return to our entrepreneurial roots." He says the move gives the firm an opportunity "to distinguish our firm from the noise and mega merger mania spreading throughout our industry."
Resource will continue to be led by its current executive team.
