RDA to Present Economic Development Plan in Mishawaka

The South Bend-Elkhart Regional Development Authority will Tuesday afternoon present its regional economic development plan. The organization says the plan is designed to build upon the success of the Regional Cities Initiative.
Pete McCown, chair of the RDA’s Economic Development Strategy Committee and member of the RDA Board of Directors, will present details of the plan in Mishawaka. The RDA says the plan focuses on five areas of opportunity:
- Education
- Recruiting Talent
- Attracting and Growing Companies
- Helping Entrepreneurs Thrive
- Promoting Inclusion and Opportunities for Women and Minorities
The presentation is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will be live streamed on Facebook. It will also include information on a proposed Regional Opportunities Alliance the RDA says will "further shape and align regional priorities."
