Raytheon to Share in $1B Military Contract

Subscribe NowThe U.S. Department of Defense has awarded a nearly $1 billion contract to be shared by 14 companies, including Raytheon Co. (NYSE: RTN) in Indianapolis. The deal calls for the research, development, testing and evaluation of weapon systems, subsystems and components for the U.S. Air Force.
The other 13 companies come from Alabama, North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Georgia and Colorado. The work will be performed at each contractor’s facilities. The DOD did not specify a completion date for the $998 million contract.
The Air Force Test Center at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida is the contracting activity.
