The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded contracts to two companies in Indiana. Raytheon Co. in Indianapolis and Honeywell International Inc. in South Bend have been selected for work on components for various military aircraft used by the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy.

Raytheon’s $8.8 million contract calls for the retrofitting of 130 center display units for the F-16 aircraft. Work will be performed in Indianapolis and is expected to be complete by September 30, 2016.

Honeywell’s three-year, $18.3 million contract calls for the production of brakes for the F/A-18 aircraft. Work is expected to be complete by June 30, 2019.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center in Utah and the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation in Pennsylvania are the contracting activities.
