Rankings And Roadmaps Spotlight Health in Indiana

The County Health Rankings & Roadmaps initiative is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute collaboration that breaks down influential health factors and suggests strategies to make improvements.
It focuses on creating healthier places to "live, learn, work and play" and considers metrics including high school graduation rates, access to healthy foods, smoking rates, obesity and teen births. The effort is geared toward supporting healthy living initiatives among government, health care, community, business, policy and public leaders and organizations.
The following 10 counties were ranked top overall in Indiana for health outcomes:

- 2. Hendricks
- 3. Boone
- 4. Johnson
- 5. Hancock
- 6. Warren
- 7. Whitley
- 8. Dubois
- 9. Posey
- 10. Porter
The following 10 counties were ranked lowest overall in Indiana for health outcomes:
- 83. Marion
- 84. Lawrence
- 85. Lake
- 86. Washington
- 87. Delaware
- 88. Sullivan
- 89. Grant
- 90. Starke
- 91. Fayette
- 92. Scott
