Radius Indiana has announced Stacy Shonk will fill the newly-created position of director of community development. In her new role, Shonk will work with regional communities to support local initiatives and involvement in programs including Indiana Main Street.
Shonk will also offer assistance and education for retail recruitment for cities and towns, especially in downtown and courthouse sectors. She previously worked in economic development at Hoosier Energy.
"Stacy is a welcome addition to the Radius team," said Jeff Quyle, chief operating officer for Radius Indiana. "Her enthusiasm for economic development, and our region, will help us continue our mission to grow a strong and progressive business environment."
The regional economic partnership says the addition strengthens its ongoing initiatives and increases outreach efforts. Shonk will also be responsible for providing analysis and reporting of work force and economic development data, which Radius will use in various business development initiatives.
Radius adds Shonk will also help cities and towns connect with state, federal and nonprofit programs for assistance with facade programs.
