Franklin-based Quality Mill Supply Co. Inc. has opened a new branch in Ferdinand. It is the fifth location for the industrial distributor and its first new branch in over 20 years. 

Quality Mill invested more than $400,000 into the branch, which employs four people in Ferdinand. Tim Wallace, vice president of sales for Quality Mill, says the company expects to invest more and hire more workers "as our growth demands it."

The company says the Ferdinand location allows for partnerships with southern Indiana companies which, in turn, will allow Quality Mill to grow and innovate. President Evan Gilbert said the company is "thrilled to join the Ferdinand community."

The company’s corporate office is located in Franklin, with branch locations in Bloomington, Fort Wayne and Muncie. Quality Mill specializes in the distribution of cutting tools, abrasives and MRO supplies.
