Purdue@WestGate and Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division are looking to feature commercialization-ready technology through a series of regular showcases. Technology Transfer Tuesdays will take place the first Tuesday of each month, beginning this Tuesday.

NSWC Crane Technology Transfer Program Manager Brooke Pyne says the events will connect entrepreneurs, researchers and government leaders. She says the showcases will feature the chance for participants to see prototypes and connect with inventors and technology commercialization staff. Technology Transfer Tuesdays will begin at 3:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month.

The programming will complement Purdue@WestGate’s News Before Brews seminars, which also happen the first Tuesday of every month. Those events feature speakers and companies in a variety of industries and bring in business, academic and government leaders from throughout the state.

NSWC Crane’s technology transfer team recently won a Department of Defense award for its work in boosting engagement internally and externally. Leaders say technology transfer partnerships have grown by 111 percent over the past three years.
