West Lafayette, Ind. — The Purdue Board of Trustees announced Wednesday (Feb. 4) that Bruce White, the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of White Lodging, has resigned his position on the board.

White, who has served as a Purdue trustee since 2011, is a graduate of Purdue University and the Harvard Graduate School of Business O.P.M. Program. He was a member of the inaugural class inducted into the Purdue University School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Hall of Fame.

“Bruce has contributed immensely to this university both as a member of our Board of Trustees and as a valued alumnus,” Board Chair Tom Spurgeon said. “Bruce served with distinction and we will miss his insight and wisdom. Although we are disappointed that he will no longer be part of the board, we fully understand and respect that family and business have pulled him away. We know he’ll always support our great university and will forever be a proud Boilermaker.”
