Purdue Startup Co-Founder to Attend Global Summit
Joanne Zhang, co-founder of Purdue University-affiliated life sciences startup Phytoption LLC, will next month participate in an international summit for entrepreneurs and innovators.
Zhang was chosen by leaders of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit to attend the event, which will be held in the Netherlands.
The U.S. government is sponsoring Zhang’s attendance at the event.
Phytoption aims to transform “agricultural commodities” to ingredients for food, cosmetics and drug applications.
“This is an incredible honor and opportunity to represent our company and U.S. innovators,” Zhang said in a news release. “I am looking forward to creating new connections and finding new opportunities to create change in our industries.”
