Rolls-Royce Corp. and the Purdue Research Foundation are set for a major announcement this afternoon in West Lafayette. The school says it will focus on high-tech job growth and boosting research and development. The event is scheduled for 1:00 this afternoon at the Purdue airport.

In April, Rolls-Royce said it was considering a major investment to modernize its aging manufacturing facilities in Indiana. At the time, an executive with the company told Inside INdiana Business that investment could reach "several hundred million dollars."
