Purdue ranked among top 100 global universities

London-based higher education website QS is out with its 2026 World University Rankings, and one Indiana institution made the top 100.
Purdue University made the cut at No. 88, marking a 15-year high for the ranking, and is also among the top 10 for public universities in the United States.
QS ranks universities around the world based on a number of metrics across five categories: research and discovery; employability and outcomes; learning experience; global engagement; and sustainability.
“Purdue’s reputation and our commitment, we’re excited to boast, are most importantly reflected in our standing with prospective employers of our graduates as well as the impact they’re making in the workplace or the research laboratory,” Purdue Provost Patrick Wolfe said in a news release. “And we are delighted by these rankings’ acknowledgement of the impact of our collaborative-focused faculty and researchers in advancing our primary mission to produce quality graduates and life-improving research.”
The global list is led by Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Imperial College London in England, and Stanford University.
