Purdue Polytechnic Launches New Majors

The six new majors are in the School of Engineering Technology, the Department of Aviation Technology and the Department of Computer Graphics Technology.
The majors include: audio engineering technology, aerospace financial analysis, unmanned aerial systems, effects technical direction, human centered design and development and visual effects compositing. The new majors were created for the fall semester.
Meanwhile, Purdue says more than 20 former areas of concentration have been raised to full majors. They include airline management and operations, animation and robotics engineering technology.
School officials say the college plans to propose additional majors in the future, in areas like cyber security and mobile application development.
