Purdue Memorial Union Club Gets Summer Start

Purdue University says work will begin this summer to renovate the Purdue Memorial Union Club into a full-scale hotel. Construction on the more than $15 million project is set to begin in June and is expected to last approximately one year.
The Purdue University Board of Trustees gave approval to plan, finance, construct and award a construction contract for the planned renovation of the Purdue Memorial Union Club on Friday.
The renovation will ensure that the hotel, restaurant and bar is ready for its plan to act as a living laboratory learning environment for hospitality and tourism management students.
The renovations are supported primarily by donations of $15 million from Bruce and Beth White and $15 million from the Dean and Barbara White Family Foundation.
