Purdue University’s Center for Food and Agricultural Business is hosting the 2018 National Conference for Food and Agribusiness. The conference brings together agri-food professionals to discuss topics ranging from market trends to e-commerce.

The focus of the two-day conference is on business relationships, and includes new breakout workshops. Purdue faculty will give presentations along with farmers, researchers and industry professionals.

“Recent studies conducted by the center show that farms are getting larger, a generational shift is happening, and new buying processes have entered the marketplace,” said professor of agricultural economics Michael Gunderson. “Similar change is happening in the agri-food industries with consolidations and a new generation of sales professionals coming into the marketplace. We know that industry professionals are facing new challenges that have direct impacts on building and developing trusted business relationships and we want to offer the resources to help our industry partners position their organizations for long-term success.”

Day one focuses on the implications of market drivers, internal organization trust and e-commerce. Day two will include professional workshops by faculty members. More information on the conference can be found here
