The university says 79 companies and organizations will be on hand to fill more than 2,000 open positions.
The event, being held in conjunction with Congressman Jim Banks (R-3) and WorkOne Northeast, will run from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Participating companies have jobs open in construction, finance, government, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and transportation.
“Hoosiers in northeast Indiana have the good fortune of an unprecedented job market that offers a wide range of opportunities for those looking to work or advance in their careers,” Banks said in a news release. “Local employers are looking to fill thousands of jobs immediately, and I urge all those interested to stop by my job fair to learn about the many opportunities that await our community.”
WorkOne Northeast officials will also provide free support on résumés and job interview technique to job seekers. Parking for attendees is available in Parking Garage 2 near the Walb Union on the Purdue Fort Wayne campus.
