PUMA to Open Distribution Center in Whitestown
Massachusetts-based PUMA North America Inc. is planning to establish operations in Boone County. The company is looking to invest $40 million to lease and equip a more than 635,000-square-foot building in the Whitestown Business Park and create up to 90 jobs.
According to documents filed with the town, PUMA plans to begin installing distribution equipment in the facility in August and be complete by November. The company expects the new jobs to be filled by the fourth quarter.
The Boone County Economic Development Corp. says a tax abatement request has been approved by both the town and county.
This will be PUMA’s first distribution facility in Indiana. The company has retail locations in Michigan City and Edinburgh.
