The Chronicle of Higher Education reports several leaders from Indiana institutions are ranked among the top 500. The information is based on data from the U.S. Department of Education and the Internal Revenue Service. It was drawn from 2011 figures.
University of Notre Dame President John Jenkins ranked highest in the state and 78th overall.

Former University of Indianapolis President Beverley Pitts – $379,409 – 276th overall
