Toll Brothers Inc. (NYSE: TOL) says the four-story structures will offer a mix of studio, one-, two-, and four-bedroom rental homes ranging from 420 square foot studios to 2,000 square foot townhomes.
The developer says the South Bend project represents its seventh luxury student housing community development nationwide.
The new development is being built on the site of an older, smaller apartment complex, Campus View.
The builder says the complex includes a 15,000-square-foot commons area with a two-story fitness center, collaboration space, and a multi-sport simulator.
Toll Brothers says the name, The 87, honors the school’s storied football program. The company says ND started its first football team in 1887.
