Progress Rail Services Corp. is planning to unveil a newly-designed locomotive next week in Muncie. The Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) subsidiary moved into the Delaware County facility in 2010. In 2011, the company announced plans to invest $50 million into the property and add 650 workers.

The Star Press reports the company hasn't released employment numbers at the facility, but says city officials were told in July 2012 the number was 280.
