Program to Boost Energy Storage Industry
Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann is set to detail a partnership this morning designed to help raise the global profile of the Battery Innovation Center in southern Indiana. The announcement will include a check presentation by Duke Energy for $1 million toward the initiative. March 30, 2015

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Lt. Governor Ellspermann will host the announcement of a partnership between the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC), Duke Energy and the Battery Innovation Center (BIC) for a new clean energy initiative which will position Indiana’s BIC to become a global center for energy storage technology. Duke Energy will also present a check for $1 million to fund the project and field tests at two Indiana schools.
