Indianapolis, Ind. — Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Centers today announced the retirement of Brian Buchanan effective June 30. Brian, a licensed funeral director, has been with the company since 1980.
Buchanan, who has been active in numerous community organizations, plans to pursue other interests. He is currently a member of the Indianapolis Rotary Foundation and Indiana Masonic Home Foundation. He is a past director of the Methodist Health Foundation and Flanner House.
“We thank Brian for his long-term dedication to our company,” said Principal Bruce Buchanan, “We wish him well in all his future endeavors.”
Founded in 1881, Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Centers continues its family ownership. It currently owns 17 event facilities throughout Indianapolis – seven of which are combined with cemeteries. Many of the centers offer catering services and host weddings, reunions, business retreats and special events.
