From May 2-4, the Gym Rats Basketball Association will host the 21st Annual Bill Hensley Memorial Run-N-Slam All-Star Classic at Spiece Fieldhouse and many other Fort Wayne gyms.

The three-day tournament will serve as the premier prep basketball event in the United States this weekend, as many of the country’s top high school players from 11 states, including Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Washington, New York, Minnesota, and Wisconsin will compete in Fort Wayne. Several of these players will one day earn scholarships to college institutions.

Along with Spiece Fieldhouse, the University of Saint Francis, Carroll High School, Northrop High School, Blackhawk Christian High School, South Side High School, Northside High School and Concordia High School will host games throughout the weekend.

The tournament will bring in an estimated 7,840 players, coaches, officials, and parents, and $1.5 million in direct spending into our local economy.
