Indianapolis-based medical technology company Precision Care Technologies has selected Jennifer Holmes to serve as CEO. Holmes most recently served as CEO of Rehab Boost Inc. in Miami, Florida, which was acquired last October.
Precision Care Technologies is continuing to develop its Quantifiable Soft Tissue Manipulation, or QSTM, system, which aims to help physical therapists, chiropractors and rehabilitation specialists provide more consistent treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.
The system uses a device developed by Dr. Terry Loghmani, a physical therapist at Indiana University in Indianapolis, and two Purdue University engineers that can measure the amount of force a therapist applies during manual therapy.
Precision Care Technologies, a portfolio company of Indianapolis-based Boomerang Ventures, says the information provided by the technology can help optimize recovery outcomes.

With more than 30 years of executive leadership in the medical device and med-tech sectors, the company says Holmes brings a track record of driving commercialization and operational development.
“Jennifer’s expertise in leading go-to-market strategies and scaling MedTech companies makes her an ideal fit for Precision Care Technologies,” Boomerang Ventures Partner and Chief Medical Officer Eric Beier said in a news release. “Her leadership will be instrumental in advancing musculoskeletal soft tissue therapy with QSTM technology and empowering clinicians with analytics-powered solutions.”
Prior to her time at Rehab Boost, Holmes also held leadership roles at Boston Scientific, Guidant Corp., and Spectranetics, among other major firms.
“I’m excited to join Precision Care Technologies at such a pivotal early stage,” said Holmes. “With the increasing demand for objective, measurable solutions in musculoskeletal therapy, QSTM technology has the potential to transform patient outcomes and establish new standards of care. I’m ready to work with the team to bring this innovation to the forefront of clinical practice.”
Boomerang Ventures acquired what was then known as Health Smart Technologies in August 2023 and rebranded it to Precision Care Technologies. The company exclusively licenses the QSTM device developed at IU.
“With Jennifer at the helm, we are confident in Precision Care Technologies’ ability to scale operations, expand market adoption, and further the mission of revolutionizing soft tissue therapy,” Beier said.
