A popular Chicago-area eatery continues to expand in Indiana with plans to build near Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield.  Portillo’s says this will be its seventh Indiana location, which is expected to open in the second half of 2021.

The fast-casual restaurant is known for its Chicago-style hotdogs and Italian beef sandwiches.

The company says it is building the 7,800-square-foot restaurant on State Road 32 and Wheeler Road. With a constant stream of sports competitions held at Grand Park, the city expects Portillo’s will be busy.

“As our city grows, we welcome strong organizations, like Portillo’s, that see the opportunity, the quality of our community and choose to invest with confidence in Westfield,” said Mayor Andy Cook.

Portillo’s says the Westfield location will have indoor seating for nearly 200 people, a seasonal outdoor patio with seating for 100, and double drive-thru lanes.

The shock factor lies in the magnitude of this issue – the magnitude of despair, isolation, and uncertainty that thousands of our city's youth grapple with daily....
