Pontius Joins Bose McKinney & Evans

The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP has added Laura Pontius to the Labor and Employment Group. She works out of the firm’s Fort Wayne office and represents employers from around the state and country in immigration matters. Pontius helps organizations and foreign workers obtain or extend appropriate temporary and immigrant status visas. She advises employers concerning I-9 verification compliance, E-Verify and immigration–employment enforcement. She assists clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services with immigration issues surrounding visa status for foreign employees. In addition, Pontius works with employers and their employees’ families on permanent residence visa status.
She previously served as manager and director of a boutique immigration law firm. Pontius is a graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law, where she received the Outstanding Female Graduate award and a 2006 graduate of Indiana University. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, an Advisory Committee Member for the Ft. Wayne Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic and a board member at Beloved: Not Forgotten.
She is admitted to practice law in Indiana and Wyoming.
